Frequently Asked Questions:
1. Is IZOFLEX a safe, tested product?
YES,we have ITB TECHNICAL APPROVAL, HYGIENE ATTESTATION AND FIRE CLASSIFICATION (A2). All necessary documents are available in the DOWNLOAD section
2. Can the IZOFLEX tile be glued to horizontal surfaces such as a terrace?
No, the bick slips are not abrasion resistant, so you should not walk on it. In addition, the horizontal brick slips will get dirty faster.
3. How to clean dirty brick slips?
The best solution is water cleaning, eg pressure washer.
4. Do brick slips change color, eg under the influence of the sun?
No, the tiles are UV-resistant, the color is preserved. However, the tile can be soiled as any other façade material by rain, mud plinths, etc. It is possible to clean the façade by pressure.
5. Are the brick slips in the winter falling off?
Our tiles are the tested facade material and this means that it can be used at low temperatures such as acrylic plasters. If the façade has been well prepared before placing the tiles, ie it is not moist, nothing will happen with tiles. Even if it turns out that under the tiles is water, then after the freeze the tile breaks point due to its elasticity. The whole panel will not fall off, as in the case of rigid tiles such as clinker.
6. Are brick slips water resistant?
Yes, water does not damage the slips. The tile itself is suitable for facade materials, but the glue, which is also fugue, is waterproof and frost-resistant. An important element of the installation is the accurate spreading of the adhesive between the tiles so that the adhesive gently slides onto the edges of the tiles thoroughly protecting the edges from the influence of water under the tile. If the water gets under thetile, winter will freeze and the tile will break.
7. Can the tiles be used by the fireplaces?
Of course, not directly near fire. We can cover both chimneys and fireplaces.
8. Are the brick slips resistant to mechanical damage?
Due to its elasticity, the tile is less prone to mechanical damage but is not indestructible. The tiles are made of uniformly colored mass so that after the damage of the top layer does not change color.
9. During installation, the corner breaks or the tiles are "in contact". What to do with this?
Every customer who orders corner tiles also gets a free gift box with complementary color in corner colors. This mass is used to lubricate and mask any cracks or breaks that occur at the corner when the tiles are joined without bending or contact. After drying the color is like a tile, and after cracks or joining there is no trace.
10. In what form are the tiles sold? Are you on current meters? Do I have to cut myself?
The tiles are sold on square meters of installation packed in boxes of 1 m2 or 5 m2. The tiles are already cut to the right size. On our website we provide information on how many tiles of the exact width are included in 1 m2. Many customers prefer to count pieces instead of meters. We then round to full meters “up” so that the customer does not run out of tiles.
For example, the customer requested 350 pieces of 52 mm wide tiles. We know that there are 66 pieces of tiles per width (here: 52 mm), so counting 350 pieces / 66 pieces = 5.3 m2. The customer will get 6 m2 of tiles.
11. On what surface can the tiles be glued?
Virtually on any one that is dry and not impatient. Some surfaces, slippery, well matted and, if necessary, primed with Izoflex-Grunt. Tiles are good for eg polystyrene (previously grid and adhesive), regip, OSB, etc.
12. Are the tiles suitable for the kitchen?
The tiles have a rough surface (similar to acrylic plaster). In the kitchen are exposed, among others. for fat etc. Such substances are hard to wash off. Often customers buy our tiles (eg white) and either paint them in any color slippery, easily washable with acrylic paint or a colorless fleece, or put them behind the glass.
